The Section Evolutionary Biology of the German Zoological Society (DZG) was founded in 1994. It promotes the exchange of evolutionary biologists in German-speaking countries. It is one of the largest and most active section groups of the DZG.

The activities of the group include the active participation in the DZG annual meetings (selection of symposium speakers and short talks, poster awards), the operation of an email distribution list and the organization of annual graduate meetings.

Formal membership, other than membership in the DZG, is not required. All interested parties are welcome to learn about the activities of the section during the section meetings, which are held at each annual meeting of the DZG. Just drop by and join in!
